The amount of storage space available inside is more than enough for two people. There are spacious door pockets, a generous glove box, a pair of cup holders on the console (which can be concealed under a power-retracting door), and a covered console box. In the event that there are any rear passengers, there are covered cup holders located in the space between the seats. Not extremely tall or long, but the trunk with the flat floor should be able to hold two people’s weekend getaway bags. The back seats fold down for more cargo space, but they split in half, so you won’t be able to fit everything in there.

The front-wheel-drive ELR has the standard electric vehicle instant-on power supply for quick starts, which is great for performance. The ELR excels at relaxed, worry-free highway cruising, but it will not blush if forced to pass or seize an opportunity when one presents itself. This tester heard very little motor noise, and the switch from running on battery alone to using the gas engine was almost imperceptible.

The 20-inch tires with low rolling resistance are more prone to making a sound. The basic “Touring” mode’s steering was light and responsive, making it easy to handle. There was minimal nosedive when the ELR came to a halt, despite the very lengthy brake pedal travel. Up front, the 2025 Cadillac ELR is the way to go.In terms of passenger comfort, the 2025 Cadillac ELR is more coupe-like than sedan-like. The front seats are comfortable and come with power adjustments as standard equipment. You may choose between two types of genuine leather and synthetic materials. Engine & Performance

The 2.0-liter turbo-4 produces 237 horsepower in the base ELR, and in the Premium Luxury and ELR, you may select for a 2.7-liter turbo-4 that produces an additional 310 or 325 horsepower. Although we have not had the opportunity to drive the standard turbo-4, we have had nothing but good experiences with it in other GM models. If quickness isn’t an issue, the 2.7-liter turbo-4 isn’t as smooth as its German rivals. The 2.7-liter turbo-4 is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission for rapid shifts, while the standard engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic.

The ELR is much better; it has a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that is twin-turbocharged and produces 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. It takes only 3.9 seconds to reach 60 mph and provides incredible power regardless of speed. For added off-road enjoyment, the Blackwing trim level comes with an optional 6-speed manual gearbox that features downshift rev-matching.  2025 Cadillac ELR Colors

The underpinnings of all versions are the same: a balanced and rigid chassis that allows for nimble cornering and a pleasant ride. The ELR is perfect for track days because to its magnetic dampers, which soften the impact of the stiffer tuning and sportier tires. So far, neither the NHTSA nor the IIHS have crashed one into anything, so our knowledge is limited. Until they do, we are unable to assign a grade. Automatic emergency braking is available at all speeds and is rudimentary on the base model; however, it improves on higher trim levels. The base $35,790 ELR model from Cadillac comes with a decent assortment of standard features, and the prices on some trim levels may be very aggressive.
